Kunhadi Safe Crossing on Hripsimiantz School- Fanar
As part of our ongoing campaign of installation of pedestrian safe crossings in front of Lebanese schools, we are pleased to announce we have recently installed a safe crossing in front of Hripsimiantz school in Fanar, with the support of Fine.
On May 17, 2013, Mrs. Lena Gebrane gave a road safety presentation to the young students of Hripsimiantz and their teachers to explain why and how to use the pedestrian crossing to cross the road safely. She also explained the importance of wearing reflective material when using the road to stay visible to drivers and then distributed Kunhadi fluorescent jackets to the students so they could use them every time they are walking on the road.
Two adults will always be present on the safe crossing while students are entering and leaving the school, to make sure they can cross the road safely.
Many thanks for Nuqul Bros-Fine Lebanon for supporting our cause and saving lives!
