Kunhadi and Rotaract Club of Beirut Cosmopolitan install a safe crossing in Badaro

Sponsored by Rotaract Club of Beirut Cosmopolitan - District 2452, Kunhadi installed on May 7, 2015, a safe crossing in front of two schools in Badaro: Ecole Franciscaine and Lycée du Musée.

This safe crossing was installed after Kunhadi received several complaints from parents and students from these schools about the danger that students face every day while trying to cross the road on their way to and from school.

Badaro’s safe crossing falls under two campaigns, one local and another international:

1- Kunhadi launched the pedestrian safety campaign in 2011 and began installing safe crossings in front of Lebanese schools. Badaro marks the twelfth safe crossing Kunhadi installs.

2- The UN launched a global campaign to #SaveKidsLives, which aims to deliver the demands of children to feel safe on the road to the attention of local and international decision makers and urge them to make children safety on the road a priority

Please support our initiative to protect students' safety by respecting the safe crossing:

Drivers: slow down and stop your car before the white lines when you see a pedestrian on the safe crossing, and do not enter the safe crossing as long as a pedestrian is present.

Pedestrians: only cross the road on the white lines, after making sure cars have stopped before the white lines.
