It broke her heart to see her daughter’s Facebook status, asking someone to please be her friend

Before the accident, she was a good student, popular among kids, good-looking, a model, Liz Marks was a role-model high school student.
She loved her phone. Without it, she “freaked out”; she couldn’t be connected to her friends or anyone. Without her cellphone she felt lonely.

One day while driving, she read a text and was involved in a horrific car crash. The worst consequence of the crash, she says, is not her blind eye or her difficulty sleeping, it's the fact that she is alone.

Liz and her mother are using their tragic experience to prevent others from going through this painful experience.
