Kunhadi And Liban Post come together to raise awareness on road safety and security
Beirut, October 6, 2010- In its effort to protect both its employees and the general public, Liban Post has been doubling its efforts in reaching out in matter of road safety and security through its cooperation with Kunhadi Organization. Together, Liban Post and Kunhadi launched internal training sessions, for its 355 drivers and letter carriers from September 30 to October 1, 2010 to raise awareness on secure driving and road safety.
Thousands of lives are taken away year after year by crashes that are preventable due to road safety issues. In Lebanon alone, several measures have been taken to raise awareness and minimize crashes due to non-compliant safety behaviors.
The training sessions included presentations from Kunhadi representatives and Hady's parents, Fady and Lena Gebrane, as they tackled the ongoing problems facing drivers nowadays and the preventions that can be applied to avoid these crashes. Hady Gebrane's life was tragically taken in a car crash that could have been prevented. As a result, his parents sought to reach out to drivers across Lebanon and raise awareness on road safety.
The presentation discussed thoroughly safe driving and both practical and theoretical tips on speeding, seatbelts, and many other crash-prone behaviors and action that can affect and distract driver attention. They also tackled the issue of preserving the values of driving safely and authentic exercises and experiences implemented on machines and equipment with international standards provided by Kunhadi.
In a step forward, Kunhadi representatives presented the safety helmets which they pledged to distribute to Liban Post letter carriers, who in their turn, pledged to wear them and follow the instructions learned during this training, making Lebanon a safer place to drive in. With multiple efforts throughout the years, Kunhadi is trying to encourage people to follow this trend and adopt it as a way of life.
