Drunk Driving Awareness at Kunhadi’s "Taxi Night" 21st Edition Event - IRIS
Drunk Driving Awareness at Kunhadi’s “Taxi Night” 21st Edition Event at Iris
Beirut, Lebanon, the 6th of August 2018
As an alternative to preaching about the risks of driving under the influence of alcohol, Kunhadi created Taxi Night: a party where guests are prohibited from driving their own cars. Instead, the organization for road safety awareness offers guests 2-way Taxi rides that pick them up from any area in Lebanon and takes them to the party venue. At the end of the night, Taxis take patrons back to their homes safe and sound!
In addition to mandatory complimentary taxi rides, what characterizes this party is the limited number of free drinks every guest receives, only two drinks, to discourage excessive drinking; moreover, guests receive open water and soft drinks in order to raise awareness on the importance of remaining hydrated while partying.
“Taxi Night” 21st Edition took place on August 6, 2018 at 10:00 p.m. at Iris and is sponsored by Alfa managed by Orascom Telecom, Master, Uber, Zaatar w Zeit and Champs.
Kunhadi President Mr. Fady Gebrane thanked the Minister of Tourism Avedis Guidanian, all the MPs, actors, singers, and talk show hosts and the sponsors for the event, Alfa managed by Orascom Telecom, Master, Uber, Zaatar w Zeit and Champs and all attendees who supported Kunhadi’s message.
For wider awareness coverage and wider exposure, all media and television stations were invited to cover the event.
