"Accidents... life lessons" road safety competition by Lebanese Canadian University

Under the patronage of the Director General of the Internal Security Forces, Major General Ibrahim Basbous, the Lebanese Canadian University (LCU) in Aintoura organized a road safety poster design competition for its graphic design students under the theme "Accidents... life lessons" to raise awareness among their peers and encourage safe driving.

The Vice President of Kunhadi, Mrs. Lena Gebrane, was invited to be a member of the jury that also included representatives of the Internal Security Forces and the Traffic Management Center. Internal Security Forces (ISF) spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Joseph Mousallem, gave a presentation explaining the New Lebanese Traffic Law and the changes it has accomplished since it was launched a year ago.
Mrs. Gebrane emphasized on the importance of young road users awareness regarding the traffic law because they are not only potential traffic crash victims, but also those who potentially cause it.

The students presented their designed posters to the ISF and Kunhadi in a gesture of support and offered the members of jury with honorary certificates for their continuous efforts to improve road safety in Lebanon.
