What Your Sleep Habits Say About Your Driving

Could your sleeping habits have an impact on your driving skills? Scientists are studying the question and they found out some pretty scary outcomes!

A first experiment done in United Kingdom showed that participants with poor sleeping habits were 2.8 times more likely to be involved in a car crash.
A second one done in Sweden highlighted that participants lacking of sleep had more difficulties to sustain attention behind the wheels than the one with a full night's sleep.

Indeed, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in United States estimates that 100,000 reported car crashes are the direct result of fatigue driving each year.

To tackle this issue, the National Sleep Foundation warns drivers against new technology that promises to auto-correct fatigue and distracted driving and urge policy makers to educate on these dangers.
