Kunhadi and Roadster Diner install safe crossing on AUB Main Gate
Roadster Diner is not only one of the leading chain restaurants in Lebanon and the Middle East but is also a greater supporter of Kunhadi and our road safety cause.
After having sponsored Kunhadi to install pedestrian safe crossings in front of International College – Beirut and Sagesse School – Achrafiyeh Roadsters joined hands with Kunhadi a third time to install a new safe crossing in front of the American University of Beirut (AUB).
Situated on AUB’s main gate on the busy Bliss Street, the safe crossing includes a white stripes, pedestrians alert sign and cat-eyes to slow cars down.
Despite Kunhadi’s recommendation of speed bumps to force cars to slow down in order to fully protect students crossing this road daily, Beirut Municipality did not grant the organization permission to use them.
Kunhadi urges both pedestrians and drivers to respect the safe crossings in order to preserve the safety of both pedestrians and drivers.
