Jean Bou Chaaya (24 years) and Jhonny Khalil (21 years) pass away in traffic crashes

No matter how often we read tragic traffic news, we still overwhelmed by the same shock and pain for every young life lost on Lebanon's roads.

This month began with heart-wrenching two weeks that marked the death of 6 young Lebanese who were aged between 12 and 17 years old in traffic crashes.

July's last week was just as dreadful.

On Sunday July 27 early morning, Jean Bou Chaaya (24 years old) was driving at 4.30 a.m. when he lost control over his car on Fatka - Bouar road. The crash cost him his life.

Kunhadi was informed by a friend of Bou Chaaya's family, that he might have slept behind the wheel due to fatigue.

Two days later, on the same road Bouar - Fatka, 21-year-old Johnny Gerges Khalil lost control over his car on a curve causing it to turn over several times and fall off a high cliff - according to experts - ending his life on the spot.

We cannot urge youth enough: please drive carefully!
