Zgharta Mayor Toufic Mouawad passed away in Karantina car crash
Zgharta-Ehden Mayor, Toufic Albert Mouawad, passed away on Thursday June 19, 2014 early morning due to injuries sustained in a horrendous car crash on Karantina highway towards Beirut in front of Sukleen building.
According to MTV News website, the crash occurred when Mouwad, driving his Audi 4x4, attempted to double-cross another vehicle and collided with a truck parked on the side of the street seriously injuring his head. He was rushed to Haddad hospital by Beirut Civil Defense.
