Kunhadi had the pleasure to attend the Regional Workshop on Road Safety Management in Arab Countries, under the auspices of ESCWA and the UN Secretary-General’s Special Envoy for Road Safety, on 27 and 28 November 2018 Beirut, Lebanon
In cooperation with the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe and the World Bank, the workshop gathered high-ranked officials from the Ministries of Transport and of Interior from Arab States with the participation of Internal Security Forces in Lebanon, Lebanese Red Cross, YASA for Road Safety, GNK, Kunhadi, USJ & others who were actively discussing the status of Road Safety Management and data in their countries and agreed on actionable recommendations to improve road safety in the region.
A road map was developed for regional priorities for Road Safety Management 2019-2020 under four pillars that will be presented to the committee on transport and logistics:
1. National Strategies and Action Plans
2. Strengthening Regulatory Framework
3. Road Safety Data
4. Networking and Partnerships.
Kunhadi also explained to participants how to calculate their Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC). Almaza is our educational sponsor in learning about the BAC as per the Lebanese Traffic Law.
