Child Car Seat
- Never hold a child on your lap in the car. In case of a crash at a speed of 50 km/hrs, they will weigh 20x more and you won’t be able to hold on to them
- As long as the child’s head is heavier than their body, the car seat must be rear facing. Once the child’s body is heavier than the head (consult your doctor or the seat’s manual), you can place the car seat forward facing
- If you need to place the child seat in front, make sure it is rear-facing and the airbag is deactivated. Otherwise, it is best to keep the child in the backseat
- At the age of 7 or when their height is 130 cm (whichever comes first), use a seat booster to avoid the seat belt harming their neck
- The middle backseat is the safest place for children of any age to ride in a car
