The Price of A Call While Driving is Expensive
Your attention is selective and while driving it will select your phone conversation, not the road.
Speaking on the phone is not like speaking to a passenger who is aware
of the road conditions. You are more than four times more likely to be
involved in a car crash when you’re on your mobile phone: If you are
driving at a speed of 50 km/hr and you look at your mobile for 1 second
only, you would drive 12 meters as if you were blindfolded.
If you receive an urgent phone call, you can answer it as long as it is
hands-free and the conversation does not exceed 40 seconds, but never
text while driving. You can always find a safe parking spot on the side
of the road until you are done using the mobile.
Don’t put your life and the lives of others in danger- don’t allow the mobile to distract you from the road while driving.
