Speed Doesn't Always Kill You

In Lebanon, Speed Driving is the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal traffic crashes in Lebanon, with more than 50% of crashes being caused by speed (based on the Lebanese Internal Security Forces statistics). Primary victims are young people aged 15 to 29 years.

Even though they are aware of the high risks they run by speeding, many young drivers shockingly declare they don’t mind losing their lives to speeding.

Hearing this uninformed and naive statement often, Kunhadi launched a speed campaign in January 2011 to remind drivers that “Speed doesn’t always kill you!”.

Unlike previous campaigns that rely on shocking viewers by threatening them with their own death, Kunhadi's new campaign widens their perspective to include the often disregarded results that are worse than the death of a speed driver: killing others, killing children, or simply paralysis, which has stripped countless speed lovers of their freedom of movement and made their lives exponentially more difficult.

Speed can have a worse consequence than death.
Respect life; respect the speed limit!
