What 's Your Excuse for Not Buckling Up

We often hear the same excuses by drivers for not wearing the seatbelt, so we thought to answer. Please have a look:

- “I won’t crash my car, I’m a good driver”.
Kunhadi answers you: being a good driver doesn’t save you from a crash because not all drivers are as good as you are
- “I’m not driving for a long distance, only around the corner to get to the supermarket”
We tell you: you should know that around 80% of fatal traffic crashes occur 10 km away from home, at a speed of 60 km/hr
- “I’m worried should any crash occur and the seatbelt would trap me inside the car”
The seat helps you stay conscious after the crash, decreases the risk of your injury and makes it easier for you to get out of the car

- “I heard of people who could have died in a crash because if they were wearing the seatbelt”

We ask you not to turn a particular case into a general rule. A crash at a high speed can kill you even if you were wearing the seatbelt; imagine what can that crash do to you if you weren’t even buckled-up!
Don’t risk following a coincidence that happened with someone else, and might not repeat itself

- “I don’t need a seatbelt; I have Air Bags”
The air bag increases the efficiency of the seatbelt, but it does not protect you from the sides and it blows out at a speed that exceeds 300 km/hr. So if you are not wearing your seatbelt, the airbag might be a cause for your serious injury
- “Is it necessary that other passengers wear it, too?”
When the crash occurs, passengers who are not wearing the seatbelt become flying objects inside the car and they might fly off the car due to the strong crash impact. Which means, you too might be injured if you are not wearing the seatbelt.

here is no loss that stems from wearing the seatbelt. The loss occurs, if the seatbelt is not buckled up.
