Two Seconds Rule

Apply the 2 seconds rule to keep your car at a safe distance from the vehicle ahead:

Pick a fixed reference point – the “sign”
As the vehicle ahead passes, count “one thousand one”, “one thousand two”. The front end of your vehicle should reach the “sign” when you finish saying “one thousand two.”
